Britannia Group achieves Stockport planning consent
Britannia Group have secured planning consent for a part refurbishment/part new build scheme to regenerate the former Stockport Probation Centre on High Street. The development will create 45 homes with a mixture of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments.
Our planning application received unanimous approval at Stockport’s planning committee. We thank the ward councillors and local authority for working closely with us to achieve such a positive result for the site, the Council and the community.
Additionally, thanks to Ollier Smurthwaite Architects, AshtonHale and the wider design team who have assisted with the project to date.
Nick Carter, Development Director at Britannia Group, said: "We are thrilled our plans for the former Probation Centre have been approved and we look forward to bringing new homes to Stockport’s thriving town centre.
"I'd like to especially thank the local ward councillors and St Joseph's RC Primary School who helped us shape our plans."
Demolition works are expected to commence in December 2024.
